De cada dez partos realizados na rede privada, oito são cesarianas.
O número de cirurgias cesarianas nos hospitais privados brasileiros está muito acima do recomendado pela OMS (Organização Mundial da Saúde). Isso porque, de cada dez partos, oito são cesarianas. O órgão internacional recomenda que o número não passe de 15% de todos os partos realizados.
Uma pesquisa brasileira mostra que os bebês por aqui nascem em horário comercial, entre às 9h e às 18h.
Para tentar diminuir a quantidade de cirurgias e incentivar o parto normal, o Ministério Público Federal vai pedir aos planos de saúde que paguem melhor aos médicos, aumentando o preço de seus honorários.
